Donnie Brasco

As far as gangster movies go, Donnie Brasco ranks in the top five, and for good reason. The film is based on the true story of FBI agent Donnie Brasco, who gets involved in the mob. Although it has a few problems, it’s still a solid watch and above average for its heart and acting. You’ll feel a connection to the characters and the story, and you’ll love how well the gangsters get off.

The plot revolves around a young FBI agent who poses as a jewel expert to win over Lefty Ruggiero. After gradually winning the mob boss’ trust, Donnie finds himself advancing in the organization, while still being separated from his wife and children. While the mob boss tries to make his life a little easier, Donnie’s friendship with Lefty gives him the chance to reconnect with his past self.

Infinity War

Infinity War has been dubbed the best Marvel Comics movie in history, and for good reason. The film introduces the MCU to many new characters, including the biggest villain of Marvel Comics. While there was much excitement around the movie’s release, fans were left with many questions. Thankfully, the filmmakers and writers did a wonderful job of explaining what Thanos really wants and how he came to be.

Unlike other Marvel movies, Infinity War is a huge ensemble piece that satisfies all the senses. While the film felt a little risky after the highly popular Age of Ultron, it succeeds in making the Marvel formula feel fresh. The newer heroes are introduced to the world successfully, while the older ones enjoy great chemistry and adjust to the new situations. This makes Infinity War one of the best movies of the year.
